1636: Commander Cantrell in the West Indies (The Ring of Fire)
A wonderful read. I have loved the 1632 series, you will too. Eric Flint & Charles Gannon have done an excellent job transporting the reader to the New World in 1635 and 1636, once there the fun begins.
Draw One in the Dark
This is the first book in a great series. It has very interesting characters, and provides quite the ride.
Redwall (Tale of Redwall)
I totally enjoyed the entire Redwall series. I devoured book after tasty book.
Baker's Boy (The Book of Words)
This series was completely engrossing, the kind of writing that lead you to submerge yourself into it's world, and only come up for meals and trips to the lavatory.
Branded Mage: 2 (Reawakening Saga)
A bit of an improvement on its predecessor, an enjoyable read, if you are able to overlook lapses in grammar etc.
Inexperienced Mage (Reawakening Saga) (Volume 1)
Not the best book I have ever read, nor the worst. It was an enjoyable pastime. Somewhat predictable, often slightly preposterous, but still all in all, an enjoyable read. Enjoyable enough that I am pressing on with the next book in the series.
Cauldron of Ghosts (Crown of Slaves)
Another great book by two great authors. I truly enjoyed the eARC version of this book. Baen just keeps publishing the greatest books!
Princess of Wands
I have truly enjoyed both books in this series. The characters are delightful. What a great concept for a series. One thing, if you and Barbara are going somewhere, its best that you do the driving!
The Dolphins of Pern
Of all of the wonderful books in the "Pern" universe, I have to say that I enjoyed this one the most.
Carousel Tides (Carousel Tides Series)
I loved this book, and it's sequel. I like quirky and unusual "worlds" and characters. I also love to escape into a novel and not return to the real world for hours. This series provides all of that. I highly recommend it.
March Upcountry (Empire of Man, #1)
What a gripping series this was/is for me. I love the premise, a young spoiled prince, stranded on a hostile planet with few resources, must make his way toward a hope of escape. While at the same time growing up and maturing, both as a man, and as a leader.
1812: The Rivers of War (The Trail of Glory)
I found this alternate history series really intriguing. I was thrilled when the 2nd book came out. And I wish there was a 3rd, and a 4th etc.
Mother of Demons
This book was really unique, it turned the usual sci-fi story upside down. And it made me cry!
Oath of Swords
First book in a great series, with wonderful characters. Bahzell Bahnakson is a hradani, a race that have terrible tempers, and generally are ostracized by the other races. Not exactly what one would consider a good candidate for a hero...
